Trottmann Marie
The Swiss harpist Marie Trottmann graduated from the high school of music in Lausanne
(class of Chantal Mathieu Balavoine), and from the Music Academy of Frankfurt am Main,
Germany (class of Françoise Friedrich). She received the prize of excellence for her
bachelor studies and obtained her Pedagogy and Performance diplomas (with
specialisation in orchestra) with the highest distinction. She currently teaches at the
Musik-Akademie in Basel. Marie Trottmann has been supported by Lyra Stiftung, Erna
und Curt Burgauer Stiftung, Jean Tanner Stiftung, Soroptimist Neuenburg and has been
influenced by the master classes of Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Godelieve Schrama, Ana-
Margit Süss, Jana Bouskova, Isabelle Perrin, Michelle Vuillaume, Park Stickney
(jazzharp), Josh Doughty (discoverer of the Kora, African harp), Hans Koch, Martin
Schütz and Fredy Studer (free improvisation).
