Huertas Jaime

Was bom in Madrid. He studied violin, viola and chamber music with Jensen Horn Sin Lam, Rainer Schmidt and the Melos Quartett at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía and Musikhochschule Stuttgart, where he received the "Solistenklasse" Diploma.

He has attended masterclasses with Imre Rohmann, Ivry Gitlis, Clarence Myerscough, Florin Szigeti, and quartets as Artemis, Auryn, Vogler and Enesco.

As chamber musician plays regularly with artists such as Imre Rohmann, Vlad Bogdanas, José Luis Estellés and George Pelhivanian, among others. He is founding member of Leonor quartet with which performs throughout Europe and made several recordings. Recently won the prize Ojo Crítico 2011 awarded by National Radio of Spain (RNE).

Interested in pedagogy, has been teaching at different spanish conservatories and is often invited to teach at courses as Hang Zhou International Summer Academy (China), Musikakademie Sighisoara (Romania), and Curso Internacional de San Esteban de Gormaz (Spain).

Actually he is viola teacher at the Federico Moreno Torraba Conservatory of Madrid and chamber music professor at the Valencian International University (VIU)
