Giampellegrini Stéphane
Stéphane was born in Luxembourg in 1989. He began playing the cello at the age of nine in the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg with Professor Claude Giampellegrini. He has performed in many distinguished concert halls and won many prizes during his studies, notably, the first prize in chamber music in 2007, the superior prize with distinction in 2009. He has performed the Schumann Cello concerto with the Symphonic Orchestra of Trier in 2011, and the Saint-Saëns Cello concerto with the OPL (Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg) in 2010. He has appeared as soloist with the student orchestra of the conservatory of the city of Luxembourg, the chamber orchestra of Metz, the philharmonic orchestra of Luxembourg and the symphonic orchestra of Trier. Stéphane Giampellegrini studied master classes with C. Kanngiesser, M. Kliegel, M. Iancovici and W. Boettcher. Currently he continues his studies with Mr. Mirel Iancovici at the Conservatory of Maastricht.
